A downloadable tool for Linux

AudioPass is a Linux desktop app that plays local audio files through a virtual microphone, with optional live microphone mixing. Can be paired with calls, recordings, video games and more, letting those apps capture both your voice and selected local audio playback.

The app is still in development, I'd just been working on it for so long I grew restless and decided to publish what I had so far. My goal is to keep polishing the app as much as I can and iron out bugs while gathering feedback, before I "release it fully" (haven't thought about what that would look like but yeah).

Install instructions

The zip file comes with a short and sweet README. It contains everything you need to get started.

App requirements:

  • x64 processors only (ARM compatibility is coming later... I guess? I haven't thought that far ahead but its pretty simple)
  • PipeWire v0.3.49 or above (that's most modern distros)
  • glibc v2.39 or above (run 'ldd --version' in a terminal to see your machine's glibc version)

Aaaaand that's all.
